Planet Spogg Releases Four New Mac Multiplayer Puzzle and Word Games

Planet Spogg today announced the release of four new Mac games. The games; Crosswise, Multris, Ooze and Sketchorama, are all multiplayer in the genres of word, drawing and puzzle. These games are played against people from all over the world.

(PRWEB) December 13, 2004 -- Since being founded one year ago, Planet Spogg has created a number of unique multiplayer online games. These games can be played directly on the www.spogg.com website on any operating system that supports Java. With the new Mac games the most popular online games have been refined and the graphics have been improved. Viktor Lidholt, lead developer said: "When making games for the web, you have to think a lot of how to make the game small in size so that they download fast. In the Mac games we were much more free, and the result is of course much better looking games."

What makes Planet Spogg's Mac games truly unique is the interaction with other players. You can see images of the people you are playing and can chat with them at anytime. Lidholt said: "Our main goal when making these games, was not only to create great games, but also letting the games be a platform for meeting people and making new friends."

Until now there have been very few, if any, multiplayer games in the genres of puzzle and word games. Traditionally, when thinking of multiplayer games it is often first person shooters of different kinds. Planet Spogg is breaking new ground, and allowing a different group of people to join the multiplayer gaming community. More than half of the players at www.spogg.com are female and the site have players of all ages.

The new Mac games are very easy to setup and play, all you need is a free account at www.spogg.com. One month after signing up the playing time will be limited to one hour a day, if you do not choose to become a paying member of www.spogg.com. The membership is currently priced at $4 USD for a month or $34 USD for a year.

Planet Spogg's Mac games can be downloaded from http://macgames.spogg.com. For additional information and a free paid membership for evaluating the games please contact Viktor Lidholt at pr@spogg.com. Screenshots from the games can be downloaded from http://macgames.spogg.com/screenshots.zip
