Shockwave.com Announces the Winners of the HP Music Video Awards

This fall, the contest challenged up-and-coming filmmakers to film original music videos for one of five songs from bands that were featured on the Warped Tour. The contest received hundreds of submissions from across the country as entrants competed for a rare shot at the spotlight – and the grand prize of $15,000.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 14, 2004 -- Shockwave.com , the Webs leading destination for interactive entertainment, today announced the winners of the HP Music Video Awards. This fall, the contest challenged up-and-coming filmmakers to film original music videos for one of five songs from bands that were featured on the Warped Tour. The contest received hundreds of submissions from across the country as entrants competed for a rare shot at the spotlight – and the grand prize of $15,000.

Today, Shockwave.com and HP are awarding the Grand Prize to Michael Estrella for his surreal, painstakingly shot video for the song "I am Crushed," by The Vandals. Estrellas winning submission and two contest runners-up are now available for online viewing at: http://hpmusic.shockwave.com

HP Music Video Award Winners:
· Grand Prize ($15,000): Michael Estrella for The Vandals' "I am Crushed"
· First Place ($5,000): Eric Lee and Sam J. Stanton for Sugarcults, "Memory"
· Second Place ($5,000): Michael Horowitz and Gareth Smith for Sugarcults "Memory"
