American Micro introduces four products designed and fabricated to address soundproofing concerns in custom and luxury homes.
Chambersburg, PA (PRWEB) December 18, 2004 -- American Micro Industries has expanded its soundproofing products available to custom home and luxury homebuilders to include four products: QuietDoor, QuietBarrier, Silent Mat and In The Wall Barrier. Used individually or together, these products provide the ultimate soundproofing solution for the most discerning homeowners.
QuietDoor is available in door size sheets that measure 36" X 80" X 5/8" thick, with a pressure sensitive adhesive already applied to one side. QuietDoor is easily installed on the back of a door with little effort or skill required.
QuietBarrier is a fire rated noise barrier available in 4 X 8 sheet form. Think of it as a sheet of lead, only its non-toxic, less expensive, and lighter in weight. QuietBarrier is used to lower sound transmission between walls in a home. QuietBarrier is a high density material that provides superior performance for preventing unwanted noise from entering or leaving a designated space. QuietBarrier is typically installed on wooden or steel framing before drywall is applied.
Silent Mat is flooring and ceiling material that stops impact noise. Silent Mat is available in sheet form, sized 23 ¾" X 23 ¾" X 5/16" thick. Designed and fabricated to address impact noise, Silent Mat is installed under any flooring including carpet, ceramic, wood, and vinyl or in ceilings to stop sound produced by walking, dropped items, furniture movement and other impact annoyances.
In The Wall Barrier is an acoustic composite that addresses sound transmission between rooms. It is designed to be installed between 16" on center studs. The composite is 3" thick, 145" wide by 48" tall and has a fire rating of UL 94-HF1. This unique product separates, absorbs and blocks sound transmission of noise through a wall. Applications include the walls between noisy adjoining rooms such as laundry rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, playrooms, in-law suites, garages, media rooms, home offices and family rooms. The benefits of In The Wall Barrier are that installation is quick and easy, with no cutting or sizing usually required. If it does require cutting, a utility knife can be used.
Homebuilders are running out of ways to compete with each other. Using QuietDoor, QuietBarrier, Silent Mat or our unique In The Wall Barrier lets builders step away from offering cookie cutter homes and into offering better quality homes than their competitors … and that provides added value without much additional cost," said Mike Staggs, marketing manager at American Micro Industries, Inc.
