Rotary Club of Amherst East, New York, Inducts Anthony Spano

Mr. Anthony Spano, a licensed director at Amigone Funeral Home, Inc., joins the Rotary Club of Amherst East, New York, as its newest member.

(PRWEB) December 17, 2004 -- The Rotary Club of Amherst East has inducted its newest member, Anthony Spano. Mr. Spano is a licensed director at Amigone Funeral Home, Inc. We are excited to have Anthony join our club as we celebrate Rotarys 100th anniversary," said Paul McAfee, president of the Rotary Club of Amherst East. Anthony is one of several executives within the Amigone organization (www.amigonefuneralhome.com) who belongs to an area Rotary club."

The Rotary Club of Amherst East raises money through its events. The club provides support each year for international and local causes. Most recently, the Amherst East Rotary club combined its efforts with three other area Rotary clubs to help purchase a van for the Boys & Girls Club of Buffalos Amherst Clubhouse. The Rotary Club of Amherst East will launch a Big Ticket Raffle in January to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club and for Buffalos Vive la Casa.

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. Paul P. Harris formed the world's first service club, the Rotary Club of Chicago, Illinois, USA, on 23 February 1905. Today there are approximately 1.2 million Rotary club members of more than 31,000 Rotary clubs in 166 countries.

The Amherst East Rotary Club meets at noon on Thursdays at Daffodils Restaurant on Maple Road, Amherst, NY. The clubs website is www.amhersteastrotary.org.
