January 16th 2005 is set to see the 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards take Hollywood by storm. Already the hotels, resorts and holiday properties in and around Hollywood are being bombarded with reservation requests from the thousands of fans who flock to Tinsel Town every year to catch a glimpse of their favourite movie idols.

(PRWEB) December 24, 2004 -- One star struck devotee of the awards, who booked her room at a swanky Beverly Hills resort more than a year ago, gushed: coming to Hollywood for this event is like a dream. I have to pinch my self to make sure that all these famous people arent just a mirage. We normally queue for over 48 hours to make sure we are at the front of the crowd near the Hotels entrance. For me this is the highlight of the year and I always manage to get my photo taken with a few of the celebrities".

Resort manager Kyle Goldstein Jnr said of the awards: This event is getting bigger every year and is a real boost to hoteliers and landlords in the traditionally quiet month of January. All over Hollywood properties are being reserved by people who dont want to miss out on their chance to be involved in one of the largest parties of the year".

Nominations for the awards that feature 13 categories for film and 11 for television were announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) on the 13th December 2004 and include some of todays most popular stars. A source in Beverly Hills suggested that 2005 looked like the year for Jamie Fox, with the young actor being nominated for his role in the Ray Charles biopic Ray" as well as appearances in Collateral" and Redemption". He went on to say: Jamies recent work has really raised his profile in Hollywood making him a bankable commodity at the box office. Weve all got our fingers crossed for January 16th and hope he gets the recognition he deserves".

So for anyone who wants to be near the rich and famous as they attend this glittering occasion at the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel, it is advisable to reserve your place in one of the many resorts and properties that Hollywood has to offer. There are still hotel rooms up for grabs but it would appear that they will soon be snapped up in anticipation of what looks to be the biggest and brightest Annual Golden Globe Awards ever.
