Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2004 Pride of Philadelphia Awards

The Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce the winners of the 2004 Pride of Philadelphia Award. The Pride of Philadelphia Awards are given annually to deserving teams or individuals who exemplify the spirit and pride of Philadelphia sports.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) December 2, 2004 -- The Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce the winners of the 2004 Pride of Philadelphia Award. The Pride of Philadelphia Awards are given annually to deserving teams or individuals who exemplify the spirit and pride of Philadelphia sports. The award is not necessarily a ‘team or player of the year, but more a recognition of those who made Philadelphia sports fans proud of their town and its rich sports heritage," said Ken Avallon, Director of the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

The 2004 Pride of Philadelphia Award winners are:
·Bernard Hopkins
·Smarty Jones
·The St. Joesephs 2003-04 Mens Basketball Team

The recipients of this years Award are all very deserving of our inaugural Pride of Philly Awards," continued Avallon, They are fantastic examples of the determination, dignity, and achievement that all Philadelphia sports fans love to cheer for."
