SJ Weisz, Private Investigator for Fox's controversial new show Who's Your Daddy" discusses his surprise as to the public's reaction to it, and explains "why" some people are willing to volunteer to be in a Reality Reunion show.
Ft Myers, FL (PRWEB) December 29, 2004 - Steven J Weisz, the PI behind the controversial Fox Show Whos Your Daddy", spoke at a press conference from his offices of Reunite Today.com.
I am not sure what the controversy is all about…especially since no one has actually seen the show." said Weisz. We have received many letters criticizing us for participating in the show, but we have actually received more letters asking us to help them find their missing Birthparents and other Family Members."
Weisz and his staff at Reunite Today.com are Reunion Investigators. Since the late 1980s, these licensed Private Investigators have specialized in locating missing Friends and Family Members. Over the years, we have worked closely with Producers from every major network who want to share these Reunion Stories with the viewing public", said Weisz. While 90% of our clients wish to have their search and reunion conducted privately, there are a few that are willing to (or request to) reunite on Television."
When asked why someone would consider airing" their personal, private and often painful search in front of an audience, Susan Friel-Williams Director of Media for Reunite Today.com replied, The reasons vary, although in my experience they are willing to bravely tell their story on-air for three main reasons, 1. To help defray the cost of their search (search fees can be as high as $3000 or more), 2. To share their delight of reunion with others, and, 3. To show others how wonderful it can be to make a connection with ones own family and by doing so, give others the courage to begin their own personal search."
Weisz told reporters that every contestant that appears on Whos Your Daddy" was well aware of the shows format before agreeing to participate. Weisz also mentioned that there were several entrants who were not chosen or declined to be on the show. We were given the green light by the Producers to solve their searches anyway." After all, everyone should have the opportunity to find missing family."
FOXs Whos Your Daddy" is scheduled to air as a 90 Minute Special on Monday, January 3rd 2005.
