QuietBarrier is a fire rated 1/4" thick, 2 lb per square foot vinyl composite in sheet form noise barrier. More effective than a sheet of lead for stopping sound, it is used to lower sound transmission between hotel / motel walls. QuietBarrier is loaded with heavy minerals that provide superior performance for preventing noise from leaving a room as well as keeping outside noise from getting in.
The best time to install QuietBarrier in a hotel or motel is during construction or renovation. To achieve optimal performance, QuietBarrier should be installed under drywall and above drop ceilings.
