Rowan Lore's debut novel Orange, has been categorized as Fiction Romance. This doesn't seem to sway male readers. A female target audience was expected but a male one was not.

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) February 9, 2004 -- Rowan Lore's debut novel Orange, has been categorized as Fiction Romance. This doesn't seem to sway male readers. A female target audience was expected but a male one was not.

"I found the book Orange very intriguing. Characters were awesome..." remarks Rudolph Ferrell. "I started reading Orange and couldn't put it down until the end. Found myself sad because I wanted it to go on. Enjoyed the book very much and felt as I was part of it."

"I thought the book Orange was wonderful. I don't read fiction as often as I should and this makes me want to read more. The character Dollar was my favorite," said Rick from Virginia. "I finished the book in one night because I couldn't put it down. I was intrigued by the book and was thoroughly upset when it ended."

Orange is a character driven fiction novel. It encompasses the trends and technology of today. The main character, Demen, finds herself searching for answers not only for her future but also from her past.

In Orange, Rowan Lore gives us some philosophical insights at the private club called Freddys through conversations about being trendy, to ones involving puberty. There are mentions of music, fashion and celebrities. Rowan Lore gives us a good plot and is able to bring many interesting characters alive in her debut novel.

"Orange, by first time author Rowan Lore is a fine first effort. With vivid use of characterization and excursions into pop culture. Orange takes a look at the world beyond what most experience in the norm - filled with art, music and interesting conversation. Through the main character Demen, a small magazine owner on the brink of taking the publication national, we find a life of art and creativity cannot mask the common issues we all face throughout our lives." Jes Simon -screenwriter, producer

Rowan Lore was born in Richmond, Virginia. She started writing 10 years ago and has completed several science-fiction short stories along with some fictional short- stories, essays and poems published on an online e-journal that she co-authors called Dog-O-matic kiosk. She has also co-authored a vanity press humor book called The Right Time. Orange is her first full-length novel.
