WHERE THE SINGLES MINGLE, 2004 -- ONE2ONE LIVING MAGAZINE NAMES THE BEST CITIES TO FIND A SOUL MATE

New York, NY (PRWEB) Feb. 9, 2004 - This Valentine's Day singles can look for love in all the right places. One2One Living Magazine -- the consummate source for singles on the move -- recently announced the The Best American Cities for Singles, 2004." And the results were surprising. Singles are not only looking for places that reflect their lifestyles, they are also looking for cities with other like-minded singles.

One2One Livings rankings were based on extensive statistical analysis and polls of singles in over 100 metropolitan areas. Research included numbers and percentages of available singles between 18-49, achievement and prosperity level of singles, the citys singles activities including turbo dating events, recreational facilities including gyms and museums, the singles scene including the night life, restaurants, and bars, and each citys "love-readiness" and overall attitude toward marriage and long-term relationships.

We searched all corners of the country for the best cities for singles. Some of the best kept secrets can be found in small cities like State College, PA," says Mary Spio, One2One Living Magazines Editor-in-Chief and head Demographer.

In past years cities like, Austin had the top spot, but this year, things have changed. After all the results were tabulated, Raleigh/Durham came in as Americas best city for singles. Singletons in Raleigh/Durham are warm and a large number of them are looking for long-term relationships that will lead to marriage. Raleigh/Durham has a high success and achievement level with one of the nations highest concentration of people with college degrees.
"One2One Living Magazine has unique insight into the lifestyle and preferences of todays singles. We were more than happy to turn their angst into insight and give them a roadmap to finding true love. Todays singles do not feel lonely, but rather isolated, which means the number of singles in a particular city is just as important as congeniality. Singles make decisions based on lifestyle options available, not the cost of living or the air quality. A friendly city with a large number of youthful singles is a natural paradise for anyone looking for love," says Spio.
The full article The Best American Cities for Singles, 2004," will appear in the Feb/Mar issue of One2One Living Magazine. Also featured in the issue are some of Americas Most Eligible Bachelors and Bachelorettes including Jillian Barberie of Foxs Good Day Live, Harvard Graduate turned sexpert, Leslie Gold, and 27-year-old multi-millionaire and CEO, Eric Villency.
