International Association of Mold Remediation Specialists (IAMRS) Announces Meger with Environmental Education Foundation (EEF)

The International Association of Mold Remediation Specialists (IAMRS) announced today the merger of its membership into the worlds largest environmental charity focusing on environmental, health and safety issues. This merger will pave the way for the nearly 500 members of IAMRS to provide a new depth and breadth to the EEFs existing membership base of over 5,000. Merger will create the largest, oldest and only charity dealing with indoor air quality and mold related issues.

Washington, DC & Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 12, 2004 -- The International Association of Mold Remediation Specialists (IAMRS) announced today the merger of its membership into the worlds largest environmental charity focusing on environmental, health and safety issues. This merger will pave the way for the nearly 500 members of IAMRS to provide a new depth and breadth to the EEFs existing membership base of over 5,000.

Past President of IAMRS, Mr. Bob Allen, "applauds the boards unanimous decision to merge with the EEF as a major step forward in the servicing and recognition for our members". Mr. Allen continued, "This merger was a natural fit for both groups. The EEF is recognized globally as the leader in Indoor Air Quality and Mold related issues and now with the addition of the largest and most acclaimed membership in mold remediation, our combined strength and knowledge base is second to none."

The merger of IAMRS into the EEF is to be fully complete within a few short months. IAMRS board of directors will be taking key strategic rolls in the EEF, including committee chair positions and selected appointments to various Federal and State agency committee the EEF enjoys.

Richard Bates, EEF President, echoed Mr. Allen enthusiasm by adding "The IAMRS, not unlike many other organizations with memberships ranging from 200 to 2,000, possess a deep domain knowledge represented by its membership who is leaders in their respective industries. The EEF has become home to many such organizations over our 15 year history and we welcome, with great anticipation and open arms, the active participation of the IAMRS members."

Troy E. Johnson, EEF Executive Director and architect of the merger, said, "The EEF has never practiced a growth strategy by cquisition, however, with the overwhelming number of relatively small, quality environmental associations struggling to stay alive in todays economy, the EEF is the best opportunity for the members to grow and be part of a thriving, established and well connected organization. I am thankful for the 4 organizations who have joined us so far - EFI, STIH, WAEP & IIDRL - and cant wait to tap into the knowledge base of the IAMRS and share it with our entire membership."
