Google, Overture, and GO TOAST have become sponsors of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization. These sponsorships by leading providers of search engine advertising and tools validate SEMPOs mission to promote the value of search engine marketing.

Palo Alto, CA (SEO-PR) February 24, 2004 – The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) today announced that Google, Overture, and GO TOAST have agreed to become charter sponsors of the new industry association.

SEMPO is talking to other players in the world of search engine marketing about sponsorships to support the organization's mission and provide the necessary funds for SEMPO to conduct primary research and develop education materials for the industry.

SEMPO will also be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 3, at the Search Engine Strategies Conference and Expo in New York, NY. The meeting will be held in the Murray Hill Suite, Level 2, Hilton New York, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The meeting provides an opportunity to meet the SEMPO board of directors and learn about the organizations plans for 2004.

SEMPO represents the common interests of more than 150 companies and consultants worldwide and provides them with a voice in the marketplace. The organizations mission is to increase awareness and promote the value of search engine marketing services. To achieve these objectives, SEMPO demonstrates how search engine marketing programs have become important components of the marketing mix.
