SeeReal Technologies, a global market leader in 3D display technology, plans to commercially launch its newest model at the Cebit Exhibition (www.cebit.de) March 18th to 24th in Hannover, Germany.

Dresden, Germany (PRWEB) February 25, 2004 -- SeeReal Technologies, a global market leader in 3D display technology, plans to commercially launch its newest model at the Cebit Exhibition (www.cebit.de) March 18th to 24th in Hannover, Germany.

SeeReals display not only has the highest resolution in its class, it also has the largest sweet spot," meaning that movement is possible in front of the display without losing the 3D effect. This sweet spot is measured at 6 cm, which is the largest ever seen on a 3D display with an image quality as sharp and bright as SeeReals new product.

Many of the monitors in SeeReals current product line have proven their real-world application in a variety of industries, including medicine, research, cartography, and oil and gas exploration. After exhibiting this new technology at the Medica Exhibition (www.medica.de) in November 2003, the response was so positive that SeeReal decided to put the display into production.

Other 3D displays on the market either have a very poor effective resolution, or they allow little or no movement in front of the screen. SeeReals monitors, with their new, advanced technology, will be commercially available for the first time at the Cebit, for delivery in April.    SeeReal CEO Lars Povelsen says, "We know about the weak points of 3D technology that have so far restricted its wide use. Weve overcome these obstacles. When it comes to resolution, brightness, and software compatibility, our monitors are setting new standards."

SeeReals worldwide partners include US technology companies SGI, Hewlett Packard, Ampronix, and Dynamic Digital Depth. Ampronix CEO Nausser Fathollahi says, I have seen most, if not all other 3D displays on the market, and SeeReals is the best I have ever seen….The clarity of the image is quite impressive."

SeeReal Technologies GmbH (www.seereal.com) was founded in 2002 in Dresden. The technology company develops and sells autostereoscopic displays:" computer monitors that allow three-dimensional visualization of videos and images without requiring any additional glasses. SeeReal has sales and technology partners in Europe, Asia and North America. The company has won numerous awards including the "European Information Society Technologies Prize (IST)" and the "Innovation Prize of the Free State of Saxony". Worldwide customers include Roche Diagnostics, Manchester University, and the German Aerospace Center.
