ESSEX JCT. VT (PRWEB) February 26, 2004 -– Toy manufacturer Robert Forenza promoted peace, love and environmental awareness by giving the award winning Hugg-A-Planet Earth to Hollywood celebrities and industry leaders at "The Night of 100 Stars Oscar Gala." The Beverly Hills Hotel is the venue for the hottest celebrity Oscar party in town where over 200 Hollywood stars will gather.

"We are honored to be a part of such an exciting event." said President Robert Forenza. The Hugg-A-Planet® Earth will make a memorable addition to Night of 100 Stars Oscar Gala Celebrity gathering. Our huggable Earth will be put in good hands.

The Best 25 Toys of the Past 25 Years
Hugg-A-Planet Founder Robert Forenza was on hand to meet many of this years celebrities attending the Gala. Film industry trend setters are known to use their celebrity status to make a positive influence on society. "By placing a huggable world in their arms it will help promote peace, love and environmental awareness" said Forenza.

A hug is a universal sign of affection. Hugs are signs of love, friendship, comfort, and caring. Mahatma Gandhi said "If we are to reach real peace in this world... we shall have to start with the children." Whatever experiences a child has in their first five years will shape the rest of their life. This love for planet Earth is instilled at a ripe age in human development. When we get to children we effect the future. If people love the planet they also love the people.

Our view of the world changed with the first image of the Earth seen from the moon. The Hugg-A-Planet takes that feeling one step further by actually putting the world in your hands. This is a way to experience how we share one world and one destiny. Our goal is to increase global awareness and help others know that peace and a healthy environment is possible.

Hugg-A-Planet Earth is a cultural icon which has been seen in major Hollywood motion pictures. In "Baby Boom", Diane Keaton put one in a taxi to take home. In "Ghostbuster 2", Signourney Weaver had a Hugg-A-Planet Earth in the kids bed room. In "3 Men and a little Girl", those dads had one next to the crib. In "Stuart Little", The family had one in the bed room. In "Deep Impact", the corporate day care center had a Hugg-A-Planet. In "KPAX", Hugg-A-Planet Earth was in the 4th of July scene right on the lawn.

It also appeared in television shows including: "Gilmore Girls", "Everybody Loves Raymond", "According to Jim", "Malcom In The Middle", "Six Feet Under", "ER", "20/20", "Spin City", "Murphy Brown", "Barney", and "Oprah".

In 1985 a reporter took a Hugg-A-Planet Earth to the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (SALT) negotiations in Geneva. In 1988 USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev was given one by a grandmother on ABC News. In 1995 at the Vermont Governor's Conference, Howard Dean gave a Hugg-A-Planet Earth to every state Governor.

Hugg-A-Planet is celebrating it's 22nd year of manufacturing soft globes and environmental responsible toys. It has won over 20 awards, including the Parents'Choice Foundations "The Best 25 Toys of the Past 25 Years". Hugg-A-Planet® Earth is in 3 sizes and is available in English, French, and Spanish. There also is a special edition of the toy which has a secret pocket, we called this the Pocket Planet. Additionally we produce a geophysical globe, a Hugg America®, a Hugg-A-Star® and a line of organic cotton soft animals. These products and others are available online at, www.peacetoys.com.
