The new online service, located at http://www.MyAddressCard.com, allows members to create online address cards that can be distributed to friends, family, and colleagues, through an integrated web-based system. The cards can include a wide range of information, including several addresses, phone numbers, emails, web sites, directions, business travel plans, and other contact information. Deluxe members can also distribute a text resume, as well as a page of fully customizable HTML content.

Wayne, PA (PRWEB) February 25, 2004--MyAddressCard.com offers individuals and businesses the ability to keep all their contacts up-to-date automatically whenever their contact information changes. Members can create up to five online address cards (depending on membership level) and send the cards to anyone with an email address through an integrated web-based system. When the owner of an address card updates their information, anyone who has received the card sees the update automatically.

MyAddressCard.com includes tools to track and manage address cards, including the ability to see who has received the card and revoke the address card on a person-by-person basis. Members can also choose the level of protection they want for each address card they create by specifying whether an address card is public or private. Private cards require that the recipient verifies their email address with MyAddressCard.com before being able to view the card.

Deluxe members can create QuickLinks" to their address cards by reserving a sub-domain under MyAddressCard.com - for example, Sample.MyAddressCard.com - that links directly to the address card of their choosing.

MyAddressCard.com differs from social networking sites in that it was designed primarily for individuals and businesses to selectively distribute their specific contact information to only the people they choose, and easily maintain that information when it changes. Since each card is customizable, members are able to distribute almost any type of data and know that when the card is updated, all the recipients of their card will see the new information.

Specific uses of MyAddressCard.com include:

- Traveling business people who want to offer their friends, family, and colleagues one point of contact to reach them when they are out of town. Each card can contain an "Other" address which includes how long the person will be at that location, and where they are heading next

- Students with networks of friends who want one location where they can update all their friends and acquaintances at once, avoiding the cumbersome chore of updating each person individually

- Job hunters who want to provide a "self-updating resume" along with their contact information. When the person's skills change, they are able to update all the recipients of their resume at the same time

- Salespeople, small business owners, SOHO professionals and others who do not want to invest in a web site but still want a web-based presence where they can distribute information on their business, products, and services

MyAddressCard.com offers three membership levels: Free, Basic, and Deluxe.
