Actress Agata Gotova Shined at Annual "Night of 100 Stars" in Oleg Cassini Vintage Evening Gown - One of Jacqueline Kennedy's
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (PRWEB) February 29, 2004 -- Soleil Film and Television, Inc. (Pink Sheets:IMPN- News) announced today that actress Agata Gotova attended the Feb. 29 Annual "Night of 100 Stars" Oscar Gala. She walked the red carpet in a vintage Nattier blue chiffon evening gown inspired by the gown originally designed by Oleg Cassini for Jacqueline Kennedy. The narrow, shaped sleeveless A-line dress with a front paneled skirt was a "Jackie look" signature and one of her favorite dresses that she wore for several years.
"Wearing Oleg Cassini's vintage gown made me feel as though I was doing the impossible …traveling in time, reaching for the greatest moments in the history of the United States in an era when American fashion was born, and the golden years of Hollywood, when elegance and beauty were at its height and legends were created. These were the days when President Kennedy was leading the country and the First Lady was charming the world," said Agata Gotova.
"In a strange way, you can make a parallel between Oleg Cassini's life and mine. We both were born in Russia, and lived in Europe before coming to the United States. We both left Russia on the verge of big changes. In his case, it was in 1917, when the Bolsheviks, led by Lenin, took over the government and formed the U.S.S.R. In my case, it was 1991, when the U.S.S.R. was destroyed. There is a reason why he became the personal designer to Jacqueline Kennedy. His designs are exceptional and I was profoundly honored to wear a dress designed by Oleg Cassini, and not just any dress, but a very special gown designed by the Master for Mrs. Kennedy, the dress that became one of her favorite dresses of all time," she continued."
The Beverly Hills Hotel was the location for the arrival of 200 Academy stars who attended the hottest celebrity Oscar party in town, The Night of 100 Stars Black Tie Oscar Dinner Gala. Norby Walters, well-known super-agent, reprised his role as producer and dinner chairman. This formal sit-down dinner and viewing party has always included past Oscar winners and nominees who pay tribute to their favorite award ceremony. The media has always rated this event as one of the top three parties. The Daily News rated this party as "....the number 1 Oscar party just for the sheer number of celebrities attending."
