To be held March 9th and 10th at the UN House in Beirut, Lebanon, the conference will focus on bringing telecom decision makers, vendors, executives, financiers, and GSM operators together to discuss new routes for Iraqs communications infrastructure, design-build process, standards setting, and regulations. Participants will be given the opportunity to meet with and hear from other major telecommunications players, as well as display relevant case studies that can be used as benchmarks for Iraqs future. Senior officials from both the UN and the Iraq Ministry of Communication have already confirmed their involvement, in addition to numerous other representatives from major telecom companies and organizations.
Mr. Alnajjars presentation will be entitled The Future of Telecom in Iraq," during which he will comment on the regions most used technologies, address the applications which will be most beneficial to the development and growth of the countrys telecommunications, and describe some of the concepts that could expedite the telecom build out in Iraq. Mr. Alnajjar will also be acting as a session chairman, leading discussions on the structurization and regulation of Iraqs expanding telecom infrastructure and participating in a panel discussion on finance and security issues.
