OPTICS I, Inc., a global technology leader in the design, development, and manufacture of electro-optical and opto-mechanical systems, today announced the appointment of Mr. Dane Hileman as President, effective April 5, 2004. Mr. Hileman will operate from the companys Manchester, New Hampshire office.
Westlake Village, CA March 21, 2004 -- OPTICS I, Inc., a global technology leader in the design, development, and manufacture of electro-optical and opto-mechanical systems, today announced the appointment of Mr. Dane Hileman as President, effective April 5, 2004.
Mr. Hileman will operate from the companys Manchester, New Hampshire office. Mr. Hileman was chosen for the position as President based on his expertise and experience in the field of optical technology including various business and technical management roles, and his proficiency in the design, development and manufacture of high volume electro-mechanical-optical devices.
His most recent position was as a Director of Strategic Growth at Corning Incorporated where he was responsible for identifying, securing and leading new business opportunities for the companys Science and Technology division. Mr. Hileman joined Corning Incorporated in 2000 as Business Technology Director for Micro Optic Component Products within the companys Optical Communications business. Prior to joining Corning, Mr. Hileman held similar leadership positions with Compaq Computers, Bausch & Lomb, and Hughes Aircraft.
Mr. Hileman earned degrees in physics and optics prior to obtaining an executive MBA from the University of Rochesters William E. Simon Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Optical Society of America and the International Society for Optical Engineering.
