(PRWEB) March 22, 2004 -- St. Petersburg, Florida -- Veteran trading and financial services executive M. Rogan LaBier has launched acquisitions intermediary Broker Dealer Exchange. The company will serve the buy-sell-merge needs of small to middle market financial institutions, a market niche which remains relatively untracked.
The value proposition is a highly personalized, custom tailored service previously unavailable to owners of small firms. Broker Dealer Exchange consults with the sellers and finds them matches based on a complex set of transition goals.
Recent stock market history and regulatory events have created a very strong need for these types of tailored services. Furthermore its a space where large investment banks traditionally cannot afford to go. The Broker Dealer Exchange model can best be described as ‘M&A for the rest of us.
The brokerage Industry is highly fractionalised with a vast majority of NASD member firms having less than 150 Registered Reps", says LaBier. These firms simply cant afford the fees of large M&A firms, and wouldnt be served properly by them even if they could afford it. So, small firm owners are often left in the cold and our business is therefore designed with these firms in mind. The real fun comes from seeing someone who has built a practice over many years transition out smoothly, with legacy intact."
LaBier recently left the position as CEO of Broker Dealer Market, another leading financial services acquisitions intermediary. Prior he was a private technology and operations consultant to securities firms, and held principal positions at Terra Nova Trading, Tradeportal Securities, MB Trading and Sonic Trading. He has also been a proprietary trader and Nasdaq Market Maker, and holds series 7, 63, 55 and 24 registrations.
LaBier is the author and contributing author of three books: "The Nasdaq Traders' Toolkit," "What Works in Online Trading" and "Tools of the Trade." He was also recognized as chapter 10 of Dr. Jan Baird's book "Electronic Trading Masters."
