Handheld Guide to Reducing Risk of Terrorism in International Travel: Data includes latest information, complete set of embassy phones

The new Terrorism Travel Planner -- International puts all information needed to reduce your chances of being a terror victim while traveling abroad in an easy-to-access data base for handheld devices.

Medfield, MA (PRWEB) March 29, 2004–-With tension about terrorist threats to international travelers high, Stephenson Strategies (Medfield, MA) and Town Compass, LLC (Seattle) today released their Terrorism Travel Planner - International for handhelds, a comprehensive guide to steps travelers can take to reduce their risk. The Planner is part of the companies "Terrorism Survival" bundle, named a "Product of the Week" by Congressional Quarterlys CQ Homeland Security.

The database includes warnings about abandoned backpacks on subways (as a result of the Madrid bombings), and the State Departments latest "Worldwide Caution" for travelers, issued last week. Other content ranges from how to rent cell phones that work abroad to wearing clothes that arent obviously American so you wont attract attention. A special section describes terrorist tactics in isolated incidents, to prepare travelers for "copycat crimes.

More than 450 entries cover sources for the latest hazard warnings, emergency procedures, trip planning, precautions, and special needs, such as those of children. It lists addresses and phones for US embassies and consulates worldwide, and airlines 800 numbers.

Homeland security expert W. David Stephenson compiled the information from US and foreign government sources, travel publications, and web sources.

Terrorism Travel Planner - International is viewed using Town Compass free DataViewer (available in Palm OS, Pocket PC, and Windows Smartphone versions), which allows concisely organizing and packaging large volumes of information for display on limited screen sizes.. The Planner may be downloaded from PocketDirectory.com, Handango.com and PalmGear.com.

A yearly subscription costs $9.95, bundled with the "Terrorism Travel Planner – USA," which gives comprehensive information on domestic airline anti-terror processes and procedures. A 4-part bundle that also includes the firms "Terrorism Survival Planner" and "Terrorism Survival Response" costs $14.95 for a yearly subscription. Subscribers will receive free quarterly updates. Volume discounts for companies are available. More details available at: http://www.pocketdirectory.com/software/product.aspx?idProduct=32028.
