Carb Cops Low Carb Superstore - The Low Carb Specialists, announced today that it will hold its' first Carb Cops Contest during the month of April. One person will receive $500 for losing weight on a low carb diet.

Sean Williams, Carb Cops Vice President and COO, " While many of our customers understand the simplicity and the benefits of the Low Carb Lifestyle, many of them lack the motivation needed to get started. We created the Carb Cops Contest to give them the extra push they might need. Carb Cops will give away $500 to a person who loses weight on a low carb diet during the month of April."

"This is not an April Fool's prank," says Carb Cops President Patty Williams. "We really believe in the overall health benefits of a Low Carb Lifestyle and want to give people every opportunity to see the results."

Contestants are required to visit the Carb Cops retail location in Redondo Beach at least three times during the month of April for official weigh-ins and photographs by a member of the Carb Cops staff. Contestants are also required to submit a one page essay titled, "How a Low Carb Lifestyle Has Transformed My Life." A winner will be selected by Carb Cops president Patty Williams and announced on May 8, 2004.

In addition to the contest, Carb Cops also announces that its next seminar, "How A Low Carb Lifestyle Can Transform Your Life" will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2004 from 10am to 11am. The seminar is for those new to low carb or those with questions regarding the Atkins Nutritional Approach and other low carb diets.

"The public is largely misinformed about low carb and there are rumors about the negative effects of Atkins," explains Sean Williams. "Our seminars are designed to dispel the myths and tout the benefits of controlling carbohydrate intake to improve health and promote longevity. I can personally testify to these facts because I lost 30 pounds and decreased my cholesterol while increasing my bone density. My allergies and asthma also improved dramatically."

Carb Cops Low Carb Superstore is located at 2739 Manhattan Beach Blvd., on the northwest corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Inglewood Ave. in the Drug Emporium shopping center. The store is just 1/4 mile from the 405 Freeway entrance on Inglewood Avenue.

Carb Cops has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post and other major news outlets. For additional information on the contest or the Seminar, please call (310)297-9292 or their web site at www.CarbCops.com.
