(PRWEB) April 13, 2004--TruthForPresident.org (http://www.truthforpresident.org) is a citizen-created news service that highlights important, under-reported stories, opinions, and analyses for the national news media, political policy makers, and cultural thought leaders. TFPs purpose is to inform and inspire the American public, influence coverage by the national media, and elevate the national political consciousness and dialogue.
TFP creator Robert Rabbin says the project will also promote social and political renewal based on principles of universal wisdom, described on the TFP web site as lifestyle values of "freedom and dignity, peace and well-being, social justice and generosity, love and kindness."
We must choose our next president with great care," says Rabbin, an author and speaker with a passion for radically engaged spiritual wisdom. What we do now, as individuals and as a nation, will lead our world down one path or another. In the simplest of terms, our choices are between the paths of war and peace, between violence and nonviolence, between hatred and understanding, between fear and love, between retribution and reconciliation, between aggression and restraint.
Let's remember that this country belongs to us, the people. It does not belong to politicians, corporations, or a few special interest groups. We the people must exercise our full right of ownership with our very best self and highest wisdom. We cannot afford to mistake power for wisdom, conviction for clarity, or ideology for truth."
Throughout this election year, TFP will promote newsworthy items about people, policies, and events as they relate to the 2004 presidential election. TFP will distribute daily email news alerts" to more than 25,000 people in the print and broadcast news industry (producers, publishers, editors, journalists, anchors, columnists, and reporters); all members of Congress; television and radio celebrity talk show producers and hosts; traditional news services; internet search engines; and more.
News alerts will be posted on the TFP web site for free access by the public.
TFP was launched with the financial support of many concerned citizens, and it continues to be funded by donations, which can be made at the TFP web site. Project director Robert Rabbin is happy to speak about TFP to any group of interested people. Inquiries about speaking engagements can be emailed to info@truthforpresident.org.
