Azteks protocol stacks provide voice signaling interfaces for SR Telecom products.
BOULDER, CO (PRWEB) April 19, 2004--Azteks protocol stacks provide voice signaling interfaces for SR Telecom products. The AV5® Protocol stack provides the ETSI V5 interface for angelTM and the ACCESS303® protocol stack provides the GR303 interface for the SR500TM product line.
SR Telecoms angel product has been selected to provide voice and broadband data services by several operators worldwide. angels non-line-of-sight technology enables large-scale deployments by operators delivering broadband access to Internet and carrier-class voice to business and residential subscribers alike. Since 2003, angel has been selected by various operators in Europe, the Middle-East, Africa, and in South-East Asia for deployments in excess of 100,000 lines.
SR Telecoms SR500 product was recently extended to provide a GR303 interface using Azteks protocol stack. The product is being deployed in Canada where it seamlessly integrates with the existing network infrastructure. The SR500 is the industrys most widely used point-to-multipoint wireless access system to deliver carrier-class voice and data services in low-density areas.
Scott Cartwright, VP of Global Sales and Marketing with Aztek, stated, Were pleased SR Telecom uses our protocol stacks for their wireless products. In addition to licensing our GR303 stack for the SR500 product, they contracted with us to build the 303 application; allowing us to demonstrate our overall expertise with access networks – not only with protocols, but with the application into specific target markets. Customers and vendors alike, should be impressed SR Telecom had the foresight to incorporate AV5s support for ETSI V5 2nd Edition. Compatibility with this update to the standard is becoming increasingly important in the European market."
Allan Klein, Vice-President – Technology of SR Telecom noted, Aztek has provided excellent quality products and services. Because of their reputation as the industry leader for protocol stacks, we knew we could rely on their products for robust and interoperable voice signaling, allowing us to focus on our core technologies."
