Human Capital Institute Engages Leading HCM Practitioners For New Education Board
-- Education Board Chartered To Coordinate Educational Curriculum for HCI Executives and Members --
Washington, DC – April 14, 2004 – The Human Capital Institute, a not-for-profit think-tank and educator, is pleased to announce the participation of six top Human Capital authorities, representing organizations such as Dartmouth College, Watson Wyatt, and the Corporation of Standards and Outcomes, who have volunteered to serve on HCI's Education Board.
The Institute recognizes that in today's business environment, human capital has become the key determinant of an organization's competitive strength – which is now directly related to the knowledge, skills and resourcefulness of the people within its enterprise. Equating talent with organizational growth has become an industry mantra, yet effectively acquiring, motivating, developing and organizing a skilled workforce remains a distinctive business problem for most companies. The Institute, through the governance of national, research, education and regional boards, endeavors to push forward new initiatives that promote thought leadership and actionable solutions to the HCI member community.
The Education Board is tasked with setting the agenda and reviewing plans for all of HCI's research offerings and services, cultivated through 22 sponsored learning tracks that target specific critical practice areas within the realm of human capital management.
HCI's six Education Board Members:
David Forman, President, Sage Learning Systems; Margaret Richards, Professor of Business, Human Resources, Castleton State College; Kevin Wheeler, President, Global Learning Systems; Barbara Johnson, Director of HR Services, Dartmouth College; Bruce Walton, Senior Consultant, Technology Solutions Practice, Watson Wyatt & Company.
