A new on-line survey sponsored by Sports Afield on Assignment Television offers voters a chance to compare their personal views on a variety of gun issues with those of presidential candidates George W. Bush and John Kerry.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 19, 2004 -- A new on-line survey sponsored by Sports Afield on Assignment Television offers voters a chance to compare their personal views on a variety of gun issues with those of presidential candidates George W. Bush and John Kerry. The website, www.bushkerryguntest.com, covers a wide variety of firearm-related issues, including the Second Amendment, gun control legislation, Right to Carry laws, gun manufacturer lawsuits, gun show background checks, the assault weapons” ban, and a host of other related issues and will go live at the NRA Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 16, 2004.

Sports Afield on Assignment Television Executive Producer, the former Guns and Ammo and Sports Afield publisher Robert Petersen, has been polling gun owners on a variety of issues in conjunction with the OLeary Report. The www.bushkerryguntest.com website is a natural extension of the gun polls conducted by the two groups to this point. Over 50,000 visitors are expected to visit the site after the web goes live on Friday – a modest figure they extrapolate from their current polling data which shows that there are 65 million gun owners in states (red states) won by George W. Bush in 2000 and 47 million gun owners in states won by Al Gore in 2000 (blue states). Overall, Bush enjoys a 64% to 26% lead over Kerry among gun owners nationwide.

Voters are told at the end of the survey which candidate best matches their views and provides a statistical breakdown that shows how many of the voters responses went for Bush and Kerry each.

Results of the internet survey will be released monthly on the Sports Afield on Assignment Television Show. State-by-state survey results will be released on October 15, 2004.
