GPlay Relaunches Affiliate Program: Top Video Game Rental Site Fine Tunes Affiliate Marketing Strategy

GPlay, Inc., the leading online video game rental company, announced that its affiliate marketing program has relaunched. The affiliate program will be under the management of Shawn Collins Consulting.

(PRWEB) April 20, 2004--GPlay, Inc. (www.gplay.com), the leading online video game rental company, today announced that its affiliate marketing program has relaunched under the management of Shawn Collins Consulting (www.shawncollinsconsulting.com).

The video game rental channel is a large and growing segment in affiliate marketing.

According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project, "Seventy percent (70%) of college students reported playing video, computer or online games at least once in a while. Some 65% of college students reported being regular or occasional game players."

Further, the Video Software Dealers Association 2003 Annual Report stated that "Gamers spent $722 million renting video game software in 2002."

Affiliates can earn up to $8 for every sign up they refer to GPlay, and commission checks are issued monthly. The GPlay affiliate program uses the BFAST solution from Commission Junction.

"GPlay affiliates are able to promote a great value proposition to consumers: free video game rentals. This attractive offer, combined with a generous commission structure, and a program policy which bans affiliates that utilize software downloads, has resulted in a great performing program for affiliates," said new affiliate manager, Shawn Collins.

Linking methods for the GPlay affiliate program include deep linking to any page on GPlay.com; images detailing the Top 10 Video Game Requests for PS2, XBox, GameCube, and Gameboy Advance; search box, banners, and text links.

About GPlay
GPlay, Inc. (formerly GoVoJo, Inc.) was created with one mission in mind, getting the best games in the hands of gaming enthusiasts in the most convenient and cost efficient way possible. The company opened its doors in January 2002 with the goal of becoming the largest provider of video game rentals in the world. The service is simple: for a monthly subscription fee (as low as $13.95), members can rent as many video games as they like and keep them without any fear of late fees or due dates. GPlay uses the United States Postal Service to deliver games and it provides prepaid envelopes for members to send their games back at no cost. Once a game is received another game from the member's rental queue is sent and the process starts all over again. GPlay, Inc. is a privately held company based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.
