The fact that the 5th Art International 2003 in Zurich was successful was due, among other things, to the mainly well-informed visitors, the friendly, close atmosphere, the great diversity of styles, the sophisticated level of the exhibited works and the internationality of the event.
Since 1999 the event has shown a constant upwards trend. The organizers' concept of presenting modern art of diverse styles in a central city location to a broad public has impressed visitors as much as exhibitors.
The fair has not only advanced to become a favorite of the public because this is where international, contemporary and avant-garde art is traded at modern prices, but it has also become an important economic factor for the Zurich region. Thus, the remarkable sales volume posted by the organizers and above all the exhibitors of whom 50 percent have traveled to the city from other European countries and 25 percent from overseas.
