Solar Cooking Technology Used in the Developing World is Now Being Utilized in the U.S. Earth Day Demonstrations at U.S. Department of State Exhibition and New York Central Park

ELBURN, IL (PRWEB) April 21, 2004 -– Sun Ovens International Incorporated announced today that solar oven sales in the U.S. are up 400% in the last month due to high fuel prices and concerns over recent air pollution reports. Sun Ovens International manufactures highly efficient, environmentally-friendly solar cooking appliances sold in 126 countries worldwide and has been actively promoting solar cooking around the world. Sun Ovens Internationals Global Sun Oven reaches temperatures of 360 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit with no fuel and can bake, boil and steam any food that can be cooked in a conventional oven. The Global Sun Oven retails for $229.

For many years we have sold our solar ovens globally to people who typically depend on firewood or charcoal for cooking everyday meals. This past month we have seen a tremendous interest domestically in this technology due to the rising fuel costs," said Paul Munsen, president of Sun Ovens International. Our sales are booming in the U.S this past month."

Sun Ovens International will be taking part in this weeks U.S. Department of States Earth Day Exhibition with a solar cooking demonstration of the giant Villager Solar Oven and the family-size Global Sun Oven on Thursday, April 22, 2004, from 10:00am until 2:00pm at the U.S. State Department Exhibition Hall, 2201 C Street NW, Washington, DC.

On Saturday, April 24, 2004, Sun Ovens International will participate with a cooking demonstration of both the giant solar and family-size ovens in New York Citys Earth Day Celebration from 11:00am to 4:00pm in Central Park, at Great Hill, West Side from 103rd to 107th Streets, sponsored by Central Park Conservancy.
