BlackGiving.com Launches Contest To Build Movement

BlackGiving.com has just announced its Net Effect" Million Member Contest, with a grand prize package worth over $3000. The purpose of this contest is to build BlackGiving.com membership to one million strong, in order to unleash Black economic power for the good of the community.

ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) April 22, 2004 -– BlackGiving.com has just announced its Net Effect" Million Member Contest. The purpose of this contest is to build BlackGiving.com membership to one million strong, and the winner will receive a grand prize package worth over $3000, just for referring friends.

The key to any movement is its members", says BlackGiving.com founder, Vince Martin. We need to get to one million to form a critical mass. At that point, we will be well on our way to becoming the standard means of purchasing online for African-Americans. This will ensure that our tremendous economic power is put to work for the sake of our community, and to a degree never before seen in our history."

The contest is easy to enter. Heres how you can start:

1. Login to (or register for) your BlackGiving.com account
2. Enter e-mail addresses of friends and family
3. When these referrals register, you receive 100 points

You will also receive 50 points when someone you refer, then refers another new member. This happens infinitely down the line, meaning 25 points for grandchildren", and so on.

A members total score is called his/her Net Effect". The person with the highest Net Effect" on the day we reach one million members wins the grand prize package", said Martin. With our strong social networks, we can reach one million in a matter of days."

The grand prize package consists of ALL 3 of the following:

1. Toshiba HD57H83 57" Widescreen Projection HDTV
2. Panasonic SC-HT900 Home Theater System
3. Sony DCR-TRV250 Digital Video Camera

Optionally, the winner may choose a $2000 shopping spree at many BlackGiving.com retailers. Members with the next ten highest scores will each receive a $25 gift certificate, redeemable at the retailer of their choice.

Martin says that its also important for people to know that BlackGiving.com respects their privacy. BlackGiving.com will never sell or share the e-mail addresses that are submitted." He also states that BlackGiving.com will only send one invitation, as required for the contest. We have a powerful disdain for spam and we dont engage in it."

This contest is about our community. We love for people to enjoy using BlackGiving.com and to have fun participating in the contest. At the same time, our goal is, and always has been, to use our $640 billion of spending power to address the serious challenges that we face as a people. Together, we can lower our AIDS rate. We can give people the skills they need for better lives. We can give our kids alternatives. With BlackGiving.com, each of us now has the power to do this at the tips of our fingers."
