New York, NY (PRWEB) May 6, 2003 -- ThinkHost (http://www.thinkhost.com), established in 1999, is probably best known for the provision of hosting services. The company has recently branched out and launched a new shopping cart software package, available to the public.

iUser Ecommerce, available exclusively through IntensivePoint (http://www.intensivepoint.com), is a shopping cart and product delivery system specifically designed for merchants who sell software and ebook downloads.

According to ThinkHost's Business Operations Manager, Michael Bloch, iUser is one of the most economical solutions of its kind.

"There was a definite gap in the market. There's plenty of good shopping cart software packages around, but really not much in this price range for merchants on a tight budget who specialize in selling downloadable products. iUser runs on the clients' server, so there's no monthly leasing fees either", states Michael.

"We've been fortunate in that the ThinkHost team comes from a variety of backgrounds - from ecommerce programming to marketing, so we had the industry knowledge and skills to create a very flexible and feature-packed ecommerce software package.

A live demo of iUser Ecommerce is available on IntensivePoint.com so interested merchants can see for themselves just how easy it is to use. We've also established a generous revenue share program for partners, so we expect to see iUser being utilized on many sites in the not too distant future."

iUser can be quickly set up by webmasters with some basic script installation skills, or one of the team from IntensivePoint will install the software for clients.

One of the many interesting features of the software is the ability for the merchant to "bundle" products together. Time sensitive options are another useful feature, allowing customers access to updates of products for a specified period via a special members area.

iUser Ecommerce also includes an option to provide premium or free support to clients, as well as supporting the distribution of free software products. In order for customers to download free products offered by a merchant, they must first create a profile. The details captured allow the merchant to build a valuable database for further marketing using iUser's inbuilt newsletter engine.
