Bishop McKinney felt compelled to support Bush after the recent signing of new laws that prosecute crimes against unborn children. McKinney sees the Bush administrations proactive leadership on these and related issues as implementing principles that protect children and the future of America. He was further convinced last year when the Bush administration implemented a global AIDS initiative that allocated over 15 billion U.S. dollars to target the raging AIDS problem in Africa.

An influential leader in the African American community, Bishop George Dallas McKinney is a jurisdictional Bishop for the Church of God in Christ in San Diego and co-chair for the Charismatic and Pentecostal Churches of North America. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where he received a BA degree. He received his MA degree from Oberlin College, School of Theology in Ohio; a Ph.D. from California Graduate School of Theology in Glendale, California; and received an honorary D.D. from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
