(PRWEB) May 10, 2004 -- Former Editor of CCM Magazine Matthew Paul Turner recently signed a publishing agreement with Relevant Books, a division of Relevant Media Group, Inc. Turners first full-length project, The Christian Culture Survival Guide: The Misadventures of an Outsider on the Inside will be sold in both mainstream and Christian retail outlets beginning May 18.

The Christian Culture Survival Guide is a humorous and provocative book about Turners experiences growing up in Christian culture. He comments, I can assure you that this book will be like nothing else in the marketplace. Its a memoir of sorts about being raised in church culture. I write about everything from ‘Christian dating to wearing my WWJD bracelet to surviving three church splits… Im sure some will find it controversial to talk so blatantly about my church life, but I believe many people––from various religious backgrounds––will relate."

Matthew is gutsy, relevant, and were thrilled about this partnership" says President/CEO of Relevant Media Group, Cameron Strang. His tongue-in-cheek writing style paired with a sincere compassion for the reader makes this an effective book."

Prior to his time as the editor of Christian musics leading publication, CCM Magazine, Turner held many other roles linked to Christian entertainment, including concert booker for famous coffeehouse Jammin Java and music/entertainment editor for Crosswalk.com. He is a contributor to Relevant Magazine, HomeLife Magazine as well as Christian Single and tours the country speaking to young people about their relevance in Christ and how media influences believers. Turner recently founded Dotted Line Media & Entertainment, a company dedicated to finding creative and innovative ways to present the truth about Christ in culture.

Founded in 2001, Relevant Books specializes in publishing titles in three categories: God, Life and Progressive Culture. Past and current titles include Walk On: The Spiritual Journey of U2, The Gospel According to Tony Soprano and Spiritual Journeys: How Faith Has Influenced 12 Music Icons.
