Clarium today announced new operations in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) May 14, 2004 -- Clarium Consulting Corporation (http://www.clarium.com) today announced new operations in Brazil. This is a tremendous opportunity for us. Brazil has a clear vision of their future within the MERCOSUR free trade area. Their involvement there will invite more direct foreign investment. Clarium wants to be positioned in this market ready to deliver critical information to the various industries," Rob Vazquez, chief executive officer, said in a statement.
Clarium began consulting operations in Sao Paulo last June 2003. However, the management of the firm was handled completely out of Fort Lauderdale, FL USA. The new facility will significantly cut expenses to Clarium and their clients, while opening new regional opportunities to other domestic cities like Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, and Rio de Janiero. Market opening and economic stabilization have significantly enhanced Brazil's growth prospects. Brazil's exports have nearly doubled in the last decade, and imports have more than doubled.
Brazil has a diverse and sophisticated services industry as well. Mail and telecommunications are the largest, followed by banking, energy, commerce, and computing. During the 1990s, Brazil's financial services industry underwent a major overhaul. The financial sector provides local firms a wide range of financial products. The largest financial firms are Brazilian (and the two largest banks are government-owned), but U.S. and other foreign firms have an important share of the market.
I really dont know how any IT services company can truly call themselves global without a direct presence in Brazil," said Rob Vazquez.
