Crimson Software Launches Free WMS Program

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Crimson Software, an experienced software development company based in Washington State, has implemented the Free WMS Program. As the next step in establishing their logistics solutions in the marketplace, this program will provide free licenses and remote setup and configuration to companies that fit a desired profile. Other optional services, such as customization, server hosting and administration, engineering, and process analysis will still be available at standard, competitive retail prices. Apply online today to see if you qualify.

(PRWEB) May 17, 2004 -- Crimson Software has undergone over 2 years of research and development to assemble a suite of logistics applications, collectively named CrimsonWMS.net. Although the main focus of this solution is warehouse management, it extends beyond the warehouse with some transportation and billing features. These applications allow real-time information and processing capabilities through a variety of devices, including Windows PCs (using a feature rich Windows application), Internet browsers, RF devices, PDAs, and cell phones.

This initial phase of development has included live production beta testing, performed mostly by Spectrum Transportation Services (formerly Lionize Logistics), a 3PL who provides public warehousing and padded van services in southeastern United States. Although this was the first beta test of the solution, it stabilized within one week of startup. Issues with the software were often resolved within hours, sometimes even during the initial phone call from the operation. Within a few months, the need for on-going support declined to almost nothing and has remained as such to this day.

Brian Sweeney, partner of Spectrum Transportation Services, had the following comments after using the solution for several months…

With the Crimson WMS, both our warehouse and administration personnels productivity have increased."

From day one, downtime has been virtually eliminated."

The functionality is as good or better than other higher priced solutions that we have seen and used in the past, and it was the only suitable solution we found that was not cost prohibitive."

This is a glowing testimony to the value of CrimsonWMS.net - all other solutions that had the desired functionality were beyond their financial reach. Today, Spectrum enjoys an enterprise level, Internet enabled information system with zero downtime… and they dont have even one IT employee. Crimson Software has handled all of the database and web server administration for them with great results – nearly 18 months in live production with zero downtime.

Now, eligible companies are being invited to join the next phase of this solutions development. For a limited time, Crimson Software is offering free licenses and remote setup and configuration to companies that are positioned to provide more extensive testing of the solution and expand its market presence. Companies selected for this program will be asked to provide feedback on any issues discovered in the software, which will be addressed with the same care and urgency that other paying customers enjoy. This type of support will be free for the first year of live production.

Once the solution is stabilized, there should be a willingness to demo the software to other potential customers. A percentage of the sales revenue will be paid to those who assist with such demos.

This program is offered on a first come – first served basis. Once a geographical area is covered by a demo facility, or several that demonstrate different features of the solution, other similar companies in that area may no longer be eligible for this program.
