Why Bulk Email Is Not SPAM

Many detested SPAM, they are willing to look at the flyers and brochures that is left in their mailbox and car windscreen. Isnt that offline bulk emailing"? But why can they do it legally? Arent they SPAMMING"?

(PRWEB) May 15, 2004--There are so many disputes surrounding the use of bulk e-mail. There are those who cry SPAM and others who call it what it is UCE (un solicited commercial e-mail) But the funny thing is that it is heavily used by many of the big boys like, AOL, Visa, Toy's R us, E-Bay, Symantec, Xerox, CitiBank, Toyota, and the list goes on. Why can they do it and not us?

The truth is UCE is a growing medium that is constantly changing and being shaped by two forces. On one side we have the SPAM Police or those who take pleasure in complaining about what they can't do themselves and on the other we have the ingenious script writers and programmers who come up with new ways to send out the mail without any SPAM filters blocking it while keeping the anonymity of the sender.

The funny this is that while many detested SPAM, they are willing to look at the flyers and brochures that is left in their mailbox and car windscreen. Isnt that offline bulk emailing"? But why can they do it legally? Arent they SPAMMING"?

So what is the difference between SPAM and Bulk Email? We put it in one simple sentence:

SPAM is irresponsible Bulk Emailing

Note the keyword: IRRESPONSIBLE. While bulk emailing is a popular method among the big boys, it is the people like us who make bulk emailing a dirty word.

Many newcomers in the bulk emailing industry irresponsibly sent emails to a list:
1) Without honoring their removal request
2) Sent with false email headers and subjects
3) No contact information at all

If you are one of the bulk emailing, or thinking of going to bulk emailing, please remember the keywords: RESPONSIBLE bulk emailing.

Responsible bulk emailing means:
1) Adhering to your local laws
2) Honor all removal requests
3) Have real contact, email and subjects

All bulk emailing companies, both online and offline, understands the need for responsibility. That is why you receive brochures with valid product and contact in your mailbox.

Lets remember the keywords: Responsible Bulk Emailing. Lets make email marketing a better tool today.
