Arc of King County Chosen as Designated Charity for New Artwork from OneFarStar

OneFarStar, an artwork distribution company, has chosen the Arc of King County as the designated charity for its latest open series poster print Warmth of the Sun".

(PRWEB) May 20, 2004, Bellevue, Washington -- OneFarStar, an artwork distribution company, has chosen the Arc of King County as the designated charity for its latest open series poster print Warmth of the Sun".

The Arc provides a valuable service in our community", says Lori Peha Kezner, Director of OneFarStar. Were pleased to be working with the Arc by helping to raise awareness and funds for them at the same time."

OneFarStar produces original artwork and open-series poster prints that directly benefit non-profit organizations. Each time a poster is created a non-profit organization is chosen to receive a permanent donation of %40 each time a print of the artwork is sold. Non-Profits are chosen based on the following criteria:
1) What does the group promote
2) How established is the organization in the community
3) Who are the members

The Arc of King County works in the community by advocating the right of children and adults with developmental disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in the community.

About the Arc of King County

Founded in 1936, the Arc of King County plays a leadership role in promoting civil rights and self-sufficiency for people with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and other similar conditions. The Arc works with adults living in their own homes, families of newborns and school-age children, senior parents, school and health care professionals, culturally diverse communities, immigrants and refugees. Services include parent training, one-to-one problem solving, information and referral phone line, life skills training, future planning, support groups, public advocacy, and an innovative web site with a comprehensive resource guide on disabilities www.arcofkingcounty.org.

Formed in 2002, OneFarStar is dedicated to selling art that benefits non-profit organizations. Built into the cost of each item is a significant donation to the designated non-profit organization.
