Anti-terrorism Muslim group launches First Muslim group to aggressively attack terrorist organizations

Last week the Free Muslim Coalition Against Terrorism made its public debut on the Fox news show, Fox and Friends", Al-Arabia TV Satellite Channel and 550 AM KTRS. Resulting public support has been overwhelmingly positive. The Coalition was created to eliminate broad base support for Islamic extremism and terrorism by supporting secular reformation efforts among Muslims.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 25, 2004--The Free Muslim Coalition Against Terrorism is made up of American Muslims and Arabs of all backgrounds who feel that religious violence and terrorism have not been fully rejected by the Muslim community in the post 9-11 era. "We are the first and only Muslim group to take a zero tolerance stance on terrorism and extremism and the first to aggressively attack terrorist organizations such as HAMAS, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, and their sympathizers" said the Coalitions founder, Kamal Nawash.

Nawash, a Palestinian immigrant, founded the Coalition to eliminate broad base support for Islamic extremism and terrorism and to strengthen secular democratic institutions in the Muslim world by supporting Islamic reformation efforts." The Coalition promotes a modern interpretation of Islam which is compatible with other faiths and beliefs.

We want to bring Islam into the 21st century by defeating religious extremism and terrorism, establishing equal rights for women, discrediting anti-Jewish rhetoric, silencing calls for jihad against Americans, and fostering an environment of peace and community between people of all backgrounds" said Nawash. "The cruel beheading of Neck Berg shows the true nature Islamic extremism and why moderate Muslims and Arabs need to speak out and challenge Islamic extremist and terrorist."

The Coalition already filling the void in the media:

This past Sunday, the Coalition was represented by Nawash, on "Fox and Friends" on the Fox News Channel. Response from around the country has been overwhelmingly positive.

On Tuesday, May 18, Kamal Nawash was a guest on the Al-Arabia TV Satellite Channel and Crane Durham's program on 550 KTRS Talk Radio St. Louis.
