And hes coming to the site of Southbridges newest business, Four Eyes Joke Shop located at 296 Main Street. Trevor will be entertaining area folks three days this month: Thursday, June,10 from 2:00-5:00 PM, Friday, June,18 from 3:00-6:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 26, from 11:00-2:00 PM.
Four Eyes Joke Shop is presenting this pre-opening entertainment to "spark excitement about the opening of Four Eyes Joke Shop in Southbridge," said owner Valerie Pontbriand. "At Four Eyes, well do whatever it takes to get a laugh. We want to create an atmosphere that is fun. Where people come to talk, laugh, and just plain-old feel good."
The store, currently located on Route 20 in Brimfield, will be moving to Southbridge sometime this summer. The Four Eyes family–owners Val and Al, and their fun-loving kids Alex and Kat–are creating lots of surprises inside the store. "We offer old time joke favorites like itching powder, hand buzzers, as well as thousands of gag gifts, practical joke and prank props. The focus of Four Eyes is good humor and fun for everyone. Thats why were thrilled to have Trevor the Stilt Walker here this month," Pontbriand added.
Trevor, a cooperative play specialist and professional stilt walker, is an award-winning entertainer. He has performed at over 2,750 events, entertaining more than 400,000 people of all ages and abilities since 1973. He was voted "The Best Children's Entertainer" in the Pioneer Valley Advocate's 1991 annual readers' poll. His adult performances have received rave reviews in newspapers and magazines throughout New England.
