Dana Point, CA (PRWEB) June 9, 2004 –- For almost two years, Chicago station WRMN-1410 has offered its listeners a unique reprieve from the onslaught of the usual bleak news with "Celebrating the Human Spirit". These 90-second radio segments, designed to fill the airwaves with goodness, offer listeners stories of optimism and hope.

"Celebrating the Human Spirit" is the brainchild of Eileen McDargh, a California-based author and professional speaker. As a leading business consultant, she realized that many need a reminder of what is positive in this world and deserving of continuing celebration. "I decided that we all need positive news and upbeat insights from everyday life. What better vehicle than radio for a short burst of hope. WRMN offered the time and the rest—so they say—is history."

Jack Davis, station manager for the Elgin-based radio insists, "I think this is one of the best services we offer to our listeners. We started broadcasting it drive-time on Sept. 11, 2002 and now run the segments multiple times throughout the week. Id like to think we're the forerunner of other stations and advertisers who will jump on the notion of offering Eileens commentary to more audiences."

Since its inception, McDargh has produced 101 segments ranging from individual stories of courage and humor to lessons about life learned from a garden, a four year-old Spider man and even a jitney driver in Chicago's O'Hare Airport. As an international keynoter and author, she has a particular gift for finding a story and sharing it with profound significance for the listener.

McDargh's defining experience as an acclaimed keynote presenter has given her an intuitively effective ability to reach people. "She's just the kind of person with whom most of us would share a heart-to-heart conversation about the things that matter most to us. In other words, she's real, a rare commodity these days," says Davis.

WRMN owner/manager Rick Jakle says that it reminds him of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale's program they carried for years. "I've been in broadcasting since 1957 and hold the longevity records as the longest tenured radio station owner/manager in the history of Chicago radio. I can honestly say that Eileens program is one of those rare and magic gems we sometimes happen across in broadcasting."

In her interactive programs McDargh credits her audiences with bringing their own wisdom and accepts the challenge of reconnecting each member to his or her own innate perception. She is one of only 118 professional speakers worldwide to have been inducted into the National Speakers Association CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame. Her book "The Resilient Spirit: Heart Talk for Staying Rightside Up in a World Thats Upside Down" resonates with the same conviction that humans are resourceful and worth celebrating.

McDarghs goal is to find a corporate sponsor who resonates with the concept of the radio spots and she welcomes all serious inquiries and interview requests.
