Sumea and T-Mobile partner to publish official UEFA EURO 2004 Java game for mobile phones

Sumeas EURO 2004 FOOTBALL Brings the Action From Portugal to T-Mobile Subscribers

HELSINKI, FINLAND (PRWEB) June 9, 2004 -- Sumea Interactive Ltd., an award-winning publisher and developer of high-quality downloadable mobile games, and T-Mobile, Official Partner of UEFA EURO 2004, today announced a partnership to publish the official EURO 2004 FOOTBALL game for mobile phones.

The downloadable EURO 2004 FOOTBALL game is an easy-to-play mobile football simulator modelled on the European Championship Tournament in Portugal, held from 12 June to 4 July, 2004. The mobile game is available now to year-end to over 85 million T-Mobile subscribers in Austria, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Russia and Hungary.

Bearing in mind that UEFA EURO 2004 is one of the worlds largest sporting events, we designed EURO 2004 FOOTBALL for casual gamers and football enthusiasts who enjoy spending their idle minutes entertaining themselves with a high-quality and easy-to-learn game that is, above everything else, a barrel of fun," said Ilkka Paananen, CEO of Sumea Interactive Ltd.

As one of only eight Official Partners of UEFA EURO 2004, T-Mobile is eager to deliver the best mobile content and entertainment to football enthusiasts and game players alike. With exceptional graphics, real tournament structure and a single match mode for practicing, the EURO 2004 FOOTBALL game is a superb simulation of the entire competition and justifiably our flagship game for the tournament," said Graham Thomas, Vice President of Content Services at T-Mobile.

Sumeas EURO 2004 FOOTBALL features all 16 participating teams and the genuine tournament structure. Actual team colors, skill differences, penalty kicks, free kicks, corner kicks, throw-ins, overtimes, yellow and even red cards are all included.

In addition to the tournament mode, the game also has a single match mode for practicing. Getting past the opposing team and scoring goals requires passing the ball from one teammate to another and putting enough spin into the final kick.
