The National Association of Minority & Women-Owned Law Firms would like to applaud Ms. Michele Coleman Mayes, General Counsel of Pitney Bowes for her dedication to diversity with respect to Pitney Bowes' use of outside counsel.

STAMFORD, CT (PRWEB) June 24, 2004 -- The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) would like to applaud Ms. Michele Coleman Mayes, General Counsel of Pitney Bowes for her dedication to diversity with respect to Pitney Bowes use of outside counsel. According to a recent article published by DiversityInc, Ms. Mayes insists that attorneys and law firms working on Pitney Bowes matters are diverse.

According to Ms. Mayes, The issues around diversity today are not the ones we confronted in the 1960s. They are far more subtle and far less visible," she says. In a global marketplace, the very meaning of diversity" is open to debate and question. And, as a new generation rises through the corporate ranks, intergenerational issues are assuming a new urgency."

Pitney Bowes ranked No. 1 this year on DiversityIncs list of Top 50 Companies for Diversity, No. 1 on DiversityIncs list of Top 10 Companies for Recruiting and Retention and No. 8 on DiversityIncs list of Top 10 Companies for Latinos.
