The Jean Wilson Award for Entrepreneurship has been scooped by Ann Rimmer and her design team at Clock Creative Communications. Presented at the North Manchester Business Awards at a gala dinner at the Reebok Stadium, the new accolade is the companys seventh since starting in business in 1999.
(PRWEB) June 27, 2004 -- Clock won through from a field of 12 entries drawn from businesses in Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham and Wigan. The award is in recognition for a company, run by a woman who has demonstrated vision, leadership and a stubborn refusal to be diverted from her chosen path. Ann is the first to acknowledge the vital role played by a dedicated team of eight design and multimedia staff.
Commenting on the award, Ann said, The award really recognises the hard work my team has put in over the last five years. I told them I couldnt take all the credit for being stubborn!"
Clock was presented with an engraved trophy and a prize of 2000. The cash will be used to buy software and hardware to support the use of digital photography in both design and web applications.

Jean Wilson was the Chairman and Chief Executive of Vernacare Ltd. She was also the Chairman of Bolton Business Ventures for a number of years until her untimely death in 2000. BBV was set up in 1983 to help local people start, run and grow their own businesses.
