Latreia Technical Solutions has started a new Institute for training that specializes in small to mid-sized businesses. This institute will offer courses that train the entrepreneur in improving communication in their company as well as improving their customer support. Latreia is utilizing this as a method to combat the constant out sourcing of technical jobs to over seas companies.
Parkside, PA (PRWEB) July 2, 2004 -- Latreia Technical Solutions, has announced that it has launched a new training division called The Latreia Institute. This group will teach and coach entrepreneurs and business people in topics such as: technology, customer service and business development. The Institute will hold its initial class on August 30-31, 2004 at their facilities near the Philadelphia International Airport. This class will cover Latreia's communication methodology "C3: Clear Consistent Communication".
Latreia Technical Solutions, Inc. is a small Pennsylvania based technical consulting firm. Timothy DuBois, the President of the company, has developed the methodology over the last three years. "This method of communication enables small businesses improve their productivity drastically," said Mr. DuBois. "We believe that this communication model can help to improve the IT Industry's reputation if it is implemented."
The topic of the course is C3:Clear Consistent Communication, which spokesperson Marcella Harte says "is the cornerstone of the Institute." The course focuses in on the problems with communication, both verbal and non-verbal, that wreak havoc on companies every day. "Small businesses cannot possibly afford all of the Dilbert-esque issues that large companies face," DuBois stated. "They need to do things better and more efficiently."
The Latreia Institute currently offers four courses that, according to Harte, can improve the productivity of virtually any company. The courses cover topics general to all businesses, but also offers some that focus specifically on the IT Industry. The courses will be offered in different cities around the country over the next few months.
The key to so many of the problems facing corporate America in general and the IT Industry in particular, according to DuBois, is communication. "Technical people pride themselves at not being able to see the 'business-side' or the 'sales-side' of things. This makes no sense, especially to the small business owner who is paying this person a lot of money."
Timothy DuBois has spent the last ten years in the IT Industry and os an entrepreneur himself. DuBois was one of the founders of FrontLine Data, the Malvern-based Application Service Provider. He has also helped four other start up companies to grow and improve. He founded Latreia Technical Solutions in 2002 in order to help small businesses and entrepreneurs better utilize technology.
DuBois says that he has focused on the IT Industry due to the drastic changes that have occured over the past few years. The industry has seen a large number of jobs sent overseas to India and countries in the former Soviet Union. According to DuBois, the out sourcing has greatly affected small to mid-sized businesses all over the country.
Latreia's courses tend to focus on Customer Service, where they feel that coprorate America has drastically lagged behind international companies. Many companies have now outsourced their entire Customer Service and Help Desk departments to companies in other countries.
