New York, NY (PRWEB) July 5, 2004 -- Distance Learning, Inc. (DLI) announced today the launch of ScribeStudio, an easy-to-use Web site that allows anyone to quickly create, offer and manage courses and training materials online. The site is located at www.ScribeStudio.com .

"We are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring many educators to the exciting world of e-learning," said Chairman and CEO John Cervieri. "Our clients and market research indicate a broad need to affordably bring materials online in order to train and educate learners. ScribeStudio meets this challenge."

Traditionally, most digital publishing tools provide users with either powerful solutions that require technical training, or easy-to-use tools that do not provide educators adequate features and functionality. ScribeStudio solves this problem by providing a rich set of Web-based features, solutions and functionality that are intuitive for non-technical users.

ScribeStudio educators can leverage 15 built-in question types, multiple page templates, and varied content types such as video, audio, text and images in order to easily author, migrate, upload, publish, teach, and, if desired, charge for their online training programs.

"The obstacle to online learning has been the lack of practical and affordable software applications that allow educators to take advantage of the Web," says Cervieri "DLI has carefully considered the needs of educators in running their own robust online training programs. As a result, we developed a monthly subscription service to avoid costly up-front fees. Cost should not be an obstacle in e-learning."

ScribeStudio subscriptions begin at $99 and expand to meet the needs of larger education and training programs. All plans, however, combine key digital publishing activities — authoring, uploading, managing, publishing and inviting learners to study — with key e-commerce functionality.
