VideoRay Hosts Grant Writing Seminar to Help Agencies Apply for Homeland Security Funds

$9Billion in Total Funding Appropriated Since 2002 Available to Agencies Savvy to the Process EDITORS, PLEASE PLACE ON CALENDAR OF EVENTS: NOVEMBER 8-9, 2004

Exton, PA (PRWEB) July 2, 2004 -- VideoRay today announced that it will host a seminar on how to write a grant request for Homeland Security funds, on November 8-9, 2004, in Key Largo, FL. The two-day seminar by Grant Writing USA will teach agencies how to find grant sources, write and review proposals, build relationships with grant makers, develop budgets, overcome obstacles, and improve the chance for a successful application.

Many of our customers today are agencies that have successfully garnered funds to purchase VideoRays," says Scott Bentley, president of VideoRay, which manufactures the small underwater robots routinely used in search and rescue missions, port and ship security, science, and other underwater investigations. Our goal is to help more agencies work through the grant process and put more VideoRays in the hands of our nations first responders."

According to Grant Writing USA trainer Rod Helm, Depending on the grant program, anywhere form 60 to 80 percent of all applications are immediately rejected because the applicant didnt do his homework. Or, worse yet, they did and decided they didnt like the rules and therefore decided to ignore them. Bottom line is, if its not allowable, its not going to happen. Pay attention to the rules and you will definitely stand out among the masses." A detailed paper on Homeland Security Grants is available at http://grantwritingusa.com, where attendees can also register and review the full benefits of the course.

The course will be held Monday, November 8, and Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at the Key Largo Marriot in Key Largo. Tuition is $289 per person and includes all necessary materials - workbook, the 200MB resource CD, two days of instruction and lifetime, free access to Grant Writing USAs support forums. The price will increase effective July 1, 2004 to $349. Register at Grant Writing USAs website at regonline.com/eventinfo.asp?EventId=14501

The class will precede the VideoRay International Partner Symposium, which brings together users of its VideoRay submersible ROV (remotely operated vehicle), manufacturers of accessories and dealers. This year, the conference will be held November 10-12, 2004 at the same location. VIPS features hands-on training for operators and technicians; dockside and vessel launched demonstrations and test drives of new products; presentations on the challenges and triumphs of real-world micro-ROV missions; and previews of new technology. Please visit www.videoray.com for details or to review sessions from last years event.

VideoRay ROVs are the smallest, most portable, and most responsive remotely operated vehicles available for use in underwater environments. Weighing just 8 pounds and starting in at $5995 USD, VideoRays are used for underwater surveys, offshore inspections, search and rescue, homeland defense, science and a range of applications.
