Online retailer revamps website and offers 5% off to all who purchase on the site.
SEATTLE, WA (PRWEB) July 2, 2004 -- Online retailer Different Drum Designs has unveiled a new version of their website, located at http://www.differentdrumdesigns.com. To commemorate the relaunch, the company is offering a five percent off coupon on all purchases made through the end of October.
The new version includes a much more intuitive interface for our customers, allowing them to see each item an artist is offering right away," says Matthew Tevenan, Chief Financial and Operations Officer. The differentdrumdesigns.com website was a unique challenge because it had to showcase the works of a very diverse group of artists. I think weve succeeded in highlighting the unique gifts these artists bring to the online marketplace."
Part of the new launch includes more options for sending payment. Different Drum Designs has incorporated online payment service PayPal® as its primary payment option. PayPal will allow customers to use personal check or credit cards to pay for all items on the website.
This allows our customers maximum security," says Tevenan. PayPal is a trusted site—theyve been in business for years and people have come to recognize their name as one they can trust. The PayPal payment processing system allows us to offer the benefits of this ubiquitous system—security, low-cost credit card payments, online electronic check payment, multiple currency payment, online payment tracking—to our customers. Were pleased to be using their new merchant services as part of our site.
The site launched May 1, 2004, with four artists onboard, adding a fifth in the first part of June. The artists who offer their unique creations through the Different Drum Designs platform are Sarah K. Gregory, Allison Todd, Allison Sprow, Jennifer Wraspir, and Erin Sprow, who also serves as the sites Artistic Director. Each artist is listed on the site with a brief biography and a photograph. Our stable of artists is growing and were very excited by that," states Sprow. We want to present a diverse group of artists so there is something for everyone."
Formed by three individuals in Seattle, Washington, Different Drum Designs aims to promote unity between the artistic community and the general public. Featuring artists from a variety of locations throughout the country, customers can purchase a vast array of work—from hand-sewn wall hangings to photography cards to hand-painted antique windows.
The companys goal is to create an outlet for people who are artists but who may not have a venue for selling their work. Contracted artists list their work on the Different Drum Designs website, and the company handles all marketing, credit card transactions, and check processing.
