(PRWEB) July 4, 2004 -- Dr.Ted Borgeas a retired Podiatrist and Diplomat, American Board of Podiatric Surgery-Fellow American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, will serve on the Medical staff at the Olympics in Athens from August 13th-29th. Ted originally volunteered his services over a year ago and he is a true believer that "persistence pays off!" Dr. Ted is a former marathon runner, participating in the Boston Marathon and Multiple 10ks, while playing his Scottish Bagpipes at the same time. With his experience in Sports Medicine, Dr. Ted has been a soccer team Podiatrist, in addition to his active participation in setting up Podiatric Medical stations in a variety of marathons and sports.

He is the author of "When My Feet Hurt, I Hurt All Over", in English and Spanish. He feels the Doctor must help athletes to maintain maximum performance with the least amount of injuries and to focus on winning! Because of their determination athletes often become oblivious of common foot and ankle injuries.

Treatment must be rapid and efficient. Ted is the author of nine books, a bonded California Auctioneer and produces and directs his weekly TV productions on Time-Warner and Cox, public access, his volunteer program, for all school grades, exhibits his celebrity shoe collection, (President Lyndon Johnson, Cher, David Letterman etc) to stimulate self-motivation in young people, based on the wearer's successes and failures.
