Biometrics & The Mark of the Beast

There are many groups opposed to any type of identification using a number such as a social security number or biometric identification. Bill Rogers, Editor & Publisher of the Biometric Digest, shares his views regarding the bible interpretation along with the different types of biometrics and how biometrics is being used today to protect and secure our privacy.

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) July 18, 2004 -- While biometric identification technology provides a high level of identification, some say its the mark of the beast in reference to a passage from the Bible. Biometric identification technology uses personal characteristics such as fingerprint, voice, face, iris, hand geometry and others to provide positive identification of an individual. The bible quote references Revelation 13:16-18, And he causes all, both great and small, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark."

Bill Rogers, Editor and Publisher of the Biometric Digest, will discuss these issues at a program in Brooklyn, New York sponsored by the Voice of Prophecy talk radio show on Saturday, July 31. Rogers will share his views regarding the bible interpretation along with the different types of biometrics and how biometrics is being used today to protect and secure our privacy. He will also discuss the use of computer chip implants to track an individual.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the religious concerns many people may have with the use of biometric technology," said Rogers. Our program includes audience interaction so we expect a good exchange of comments and views."

There are many groups opposed to any type of identification using a number such as a social security number. In an ideal world it would be great to only use a name; however, too many people share the same name. The only way to solve this problem is to use a numbering system," commented Rogers.

The biometric technology presentation is part of the churchs 5th annual fund raising concert. The program is set for July 31, 2004 at 7:30 pm. at Wingate High School in Brooklyn, NY. For information on the program, contact Pastor Jean Sagesse at P.O. Box 120316, Brooklyn, NY 11212, telephone 718-574-6930.

For information on the program presentation on biometrics, contact William Rogers at P.O. Box 510047, St. Louis, MO 63151-0047. Telephone 314-892-8632 or email to publisher@biodigest.com. Information on biometrics is available at the Biometric Digest website at http://www.biodigest.com.
