MINDTHIRST has a Black Female Lead Vocals, Lammie; an Ecuadorian Jewish Lead Guitarist, Ken; and a Chinese/Black Bassist, George with a double kicking drummer,Curlan and the coolest Sax player, Cal. This combination has given an edge to the music that they've composed which is quite powerful and rich with lyrics that are so inspirational and sometimes haunting in their original songs such as "Former Ties" and "Child of War".
In May 2004 at the SONYA JAMfest in Brooklyn, NY, MINDTHIRST headlined the festival of 5 original bands with such a powerful performance that their fans couldn't stop screaming "Encore!!!!!!! Encore!!!!!!!!". In addition, MINDTHIRST had the crowd on their feet when they seeminglessly slipped into the cover song "The Metro" with their ultra funk-butt beat.
MINDTHIRT will perform live at Continental (25 Third Ave b/t 9th Street and St. Marks Pl., NYC) at 9:30pm on Wednesday, August 4th.
