Each year HR professionals are invited to submit a proposal to share their experiences and expertise with their colleagues at the IHRIM Annual Conference. The focus of these sessions are intended to be educational in nature, delivered by senior practitioners and recognized industry thought-leaders, sharing practical knowledge that can be applied in the workplace and help attendees improve their effectiveness.
(Burlington, MA July 27, 2004) IHRIM, the leading association for HR technology information and education, has announced its Call for Presentations for the HRMStrategies 2005 Conference to be held in Reno, Nevada, May 1-4. Proposals will be accepted based on overall quality and relevance to human resource information management and technology, and only those proposals received by the deadline of August 27, 2004 will be considered. To ensure that a balanced array of the best presentations are offered, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by a peer review committee of accomplished professionals from human resources and information management, using the criteria described below. The evaluation process is competitive approximately 30% of submissions get selected.
Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated on the following criteria:
· Overall quality (focus and content),
· Uniqueness or innovativeness of the topic,
· Practical application to the HRMS industry, and
· Timeliness of the topic.
IHRIM is seeking qualified persons to speak on topics relative to the following focus areas:
· Strategy and Service Delivery - Sessions are aimed at the company searching for better ways to design and deploy HR technology and service delivery models for the enterprise.
· Selection and Implementation The focus here is on implementation methodologies and how to successfully move from ideas to reality," learning the best practices to keep your plans on track and improve your chances for success.
· Post-Implementation and Lifecycle Maintenance Sessions are aimed at the company, which has implemented their system and is looking for new and innovative ways to reduce their total cost of ownership and enhance their service offerings to their client groups, including bolt-ons and point solutions.
· Innovative Uses of Technology The sessions focus on core technologies and protocols, which enhance the user experience and support service delivery. Aimed at a more technical audience, this focus area will provide technical education for HR technology managers and IT specialists supporting the Human Resource function.
· Professional Development - These sessions are aimed at the HR systems professional seeking new skills and updating their professional toolkit."
· Outsourcing - The sessions focus on exploring the variety of ways that HR can use to deliver its services to employees. These sessions are not necessarily technology related, but help provide alternatives for companies of all sizes and structures. They also provide insight into the identification of alternatives, evaluation and selection and ongoing operational management and effectiveness.
